O-Shirt Tour

As part of our Butterflies en Mexico A.C. (BEM)
Vocational Skills Training Program we were invited on
Tuesday July 28th, 2015 to tour O-Shirt, a custom shop,
specializing in hand made clothing and embroidery.

Esperanza, our hostess and owner of O-Shirt, graciously showed us around.
The variety of machinery she uses in her shop was impressive.

Esperanza showed Perla and Wendy, students from our first
Vocational Textile Class, how to use the Surger.

and were shown the machines utlitized.

Having completed the Introductory Class of the BEM 
Vocational Textile Program, the students were gifted with a
"hands on" successful, working business experience.

We cannot thank enough our many Volunteers for their 
untiring hours of service and a special thank you to Esperanza,
from O-Shirt, who made this tour possible.

BEM Vocational Training

Textile Program


The end of the first BEM Vocational Training - Sewing/Textile Class 
was an occasion to celebrate and an opportunity to review and reflect.


A lovely luncheon was created and generously provided by hosts
Bernadine Janzen and Mac Whyte, at their heartwarming home.
